Lex Orandi Lex Credendi

I saw this motto on a man's T-shirt at a meeting. While I didn't know its context I figured that orandi must mean praying and credendi believing. Wikipedia explains the origin and meaning of the expression

Tu ne cede malis

I came across this motto "Tu ne cede malis" quite by accident today, when it and the accompanying logo caught my eye, as I drove past Edinburgh's Carlton Cricket Club. The phrase comes from a verse of Virgil: "Tu ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito." This translates to: "Do not give in to evil, but proceed ever more boldly against it" - a worthy sentiment indeed.
